its sad that you didnt include the OTHER option in your poll...
you forgot to mention the locals... you didnt give the locals the right to have a house !!!
unless im mistaken, you have set a multiple choice question with all the answers you want, not the answers we MAY want to give !!!

Not being picky but just asking a question based on your neighbours/locals response. They don't need the housing do they if they are living there, but nurses, police, etc coming to work at local establishments do.
So locals vote to keep the accommodation for themselves but as they already are living in the area ( being a local ) the houses stand empty ???

married couples tend to self perpetuate. they pro-create. they multiply. they have little rug rats that want to move out and start a family of their own...
where do they go if all the LOCAL housing has been given to the blue light brigade and imigrants ??
from MY point of view, local councils should serve the local people, not someone from half way around the world or give priority to someone because they have a certain job.
rural Britain is a prime example (i know for a fact Cornwall) where, if you are not a "local" you cant get council property !
why should we in the industrial part of the country be any different ?
