In the David and Baddiel show there was this bloke who used to say 'Milky'. I found it funny then but now wonder why. Does this eman that in a few years time i wont find 'little britain' funny and chide myself for having done so in the past.

I remember "Milky" from The Mary Whitehouse experience with David Badiel and Robert (someone).

I havent seen it for years, but also Remember "Ray" the character who said things sarcastically when he meant it serious and serious when he meant to be sarcastic.

I used to love The Young Ones, now I think it is totally unfunny, so I guess Little Britain will in the end lose its humour for the current generation, but the next  will love it. Little Britaind humour will probably last longer than The young Ones or Mary Whitehouse Experience

I used to love newman and baddiel doing the 'history today' sketches. I even used to wear their t-shirt and go around quoting 'thats you, that is'. now i ask myself why as its not funny! and same as you londondave i used to love the young ones but they are so not funny anymore. I still love fawlty towers though and alan partridge and both those have been going for a while.

some comedy shows lose their appeal, but there are many that remain funny years later.

i still find things like open all hours, fawlty towers, porridge, monty python and others just as funny as i did when i first saw them.

besides, i don't think it matters if you look back in a few years and wonder why we found little britain funny - as long as you enjoy it now!

Milky Miky was from the Mary Whitehouse Experience I thought.  Hugh Dennis was the chap who done the character.  I think it was the context in which he was introduced for the first time that made him funny.  Can't remember what that was now though.

I think the best part of that series was the Breakfast TV sketch.

a lot of comedy shows dont actually make jokes but the running joke is what makes it funny.the fast show was a classic example eg in't milk brilliant,i'll get me coat, theres someone sitting there, does my bum look big in this etc etc

none actually funny but we still get the gag !
