my pup
I am having the toughest time breaking my pup from poopin and peeing in his kennel. We can take him out numerous times a day and night and before and after meals and he will still come in and pee and sometimes poop in the kennel. Do I just keep doing what I am doing or is their something more that I should try?

my pup is now 18wks and he was hard work with doing his toilet outside he was the same going out for long walks then getting in doors and doing his stuff, i was reading puppy packs and the obvious thing was to give treats every time they do a toilet outdoors but they only get the treat outside and not in, i used this and fingers crossed he has been a goodboy and has been clean for a couple of weeks now

I imagine that he is so pleased to have your company and attention when you let him out of his kennel that the last thing on his mind is going to pee or poo. As chelsea said it took weeks for his/her pup to be housetrained and that is living indoors; Can you not have the pup indoors and put him out in a heated kennel for only part of the day/night?
Is your dog kept in the kennel outside? Is it a Kennel that the dog can get out off or is it an enclosed Kennel?
It is unusual for dogs to mess the area they sleep in so I am guessing that the dog is locked up, and if this is the case, then it appears for too long....Your dog should go to the toilet just after eating (1-2hrs after even sooner)
Place some of your dog's poo in the area that you would like him to poo in. This may encourage him to use this area. Clean up the other areas regularly and thoroughly. And you need to really Praise your dog when you catch him pooing in the correct place.
And also do not use any punishment as this is actually likely to make the problem worse. Your dog may feel comforted by having his scent around him. Punishment can create anxiety which, in turn, can create the dog's need to feel secure. Dogs use their own scent to feel secure.
