I hate this "lol" thing, no one seems to know what it is, it just seems so trite when everyone puts it, and again fot the wook does it mean?

Because you are green. Anyway banning people on here is futile because you simply get another e-mail address, a new or similar username and away you go.

I believe this practice is common on here.

LOL and all the other mildly annoying text speak emoticons are greatly needed.

They are good ways of letting someome know in the written word that what they have said is a joke, tongue in cheek etc.

As emails and posts on threads can be misconstrued, the abbreviations are a necessary evil.

How about this one "GFY" or "YDB" ? Or even "IHTWMQHBRBOWOHNM!"
(I hate the way my question has been ransacked by others who obviously have no manners!)
