I received two ticket from a camera on a street in london. while I was waiting after dropping someone off. 3 minutes later I ledt to find parking, during this time I made a few phone calls.
I have contested the tickets and they have rejected saying that at no time can I stop on a single yellow line.
it is so infuriating that I can't contest this fine of over 200...
PLEASE HELP!

If you can't stop on single yellow lines, and you stopped - there is nothing to appeal against.

There is proof that you stopped and that is what you are being fined for.
explain you had to stop to vomit, and to carry on would've been dangerous. Worth a punt anyway.

they have me on video....
but surely if we can't drive while on the phone then.... we should be able to stop to make a call. It was saturday morning on a quiet street!!!
there is a solution out there.....!

thanx ethal....
was it really worth your time and effort!
good try whickerman!
I think so - I didn't realise you only wanted answers that would encourage you to dig a bigger hole and lie.

Turn your phone off when driving - or get a hands free kit.

I spoke to a parking attendent and he said it would be fine for a minute or two... the camera has that recorded too!
I think that it was a reasonable amount of time.... I wasn't abusing the limit!
NO LIES ARE NEEDED!!
You can't just stop anywhere and make, or receive, a phone call. Blimey, if you could think of all those planks sitting on the hard shoulder of the M25 in the rush hour.

The camera may have picked you out speaking to a parking attendant but it certainly didn't pick out what was said to each other

No parking means no parking, not even to drop some one off

You dropped a friend off, spoke to an attendant and made a few phone calls in 3 minutes? Blimey how short were those phone conversations...
ojread I agree you can't sit making phone calls on yellow lines, but according to the highway code you can stop to drop people off there.
It states that yellow lines indicate no waiting.
poor yelnam, i`ll donate to help u out of u r that skint and cant pay up? how much do u need?

i`d hate to get a fine like that, that would mean one less pair of jeans!! always get someone else to drive, then i wont get a fine

he he
Pay up cuz the fine will keep goin up!
If there are signs and markings like this - you can't stop to even drop off during the times stated on the plate:

You broke the law, pay the fine and learn, 200? a good hands free kit is 175 fitted, I bet you drive a 25000 car too
