Debt free!

i can pay my credit card off by June next year if I dont spend on it and pay off approx �500 a month which i can just about afford to do! any hints or tips to
a) staying debt free
b) sticking to the debt repayment!

To stay debt free I'd say don't spend more than you earn in a month.
If you haven't already done swap your utilities to the cheapest supplier you can find. Do the same with insurance, moblie phone, satellite/ cable tv etc.
Make a list (or use a program such as MS Money) to track all your outgoings on on side and all you incme on the other. See what you can do without till June and where you can make cutbacks (takeaways are a big unnecessary expence in our house).
