Do the 'guests', (ie, those 'on stage', not the audience!) on programmes like Jeremy Kyle / Springer / Trisha etc get paid? I can't believe some of these people would make the effort to be on there just for their "15 minutes of fame"! If so, do they have to declare it to the Benefits people?

Not sure whether they get paid but the pond life who are on JK get a freebie night away in a nice hotel perhaps thats the attraction.
Of course they do.

Appreciate the night away in a B & B (with a bar tab, apparently!) but are we just guessing about payment? How much do they get for an appearance?

No, I do NOT want to go on there but I really can't see the attraction for a 'normal' person. The CSA will do a DNA test in disputed parentage cases, so what's the deal?

Are there really that many idiots out there? Apologies if that offends anyone, but if that's you then no doubt you can answer my question with some authority!
I heard somewhere that you also get a clothing allowance and make up artist.

Judging from the last time I looked at the guests on JK I find that very difficult to believe ~ unless the make up artist is good at faking love bites and the wardrobe assistant is hired from the local 'Link Romania' shop.
They should be offered dentures as well,or the use of toothpaste and toothbrush!LOL
Oh yes, but just looking at the number of people joining the thread, it's absolutely compulsive viewing, isn't it?!!! I mean sometimes it's just so awful that it gives your self esteem a hell of a lift for the day!!!!!!
