Hiya Trish & bigmamma, thanks for asking. It went very well I never knew there was so much to do in a village bakery. It was really busy between 12noon and 2pm. There are 3 other women working plus the owner and they were all nice. I walked in and they all said "put the kettle on" for the first couple of hours I was just watching the others and finding out where things were, then I helped to make sandwiches...with salad//or without, mayonaise or salad cream, onions or not, mustard, beetroot, piccalily, horse radish, red cabbage....and on and on and on. Then about 2.30 helped to do the cleaning and out of the door by 3.05pm. I am on trial for 2 weeks so instead of having a nice white and green smock thing I had to wear a tatty pinny. If I like it and they like me then I will get my very own uniform...gosh can't wait......no pies or cakes yet tho, perhaps I will get some when I am official. The cats may come off best, the owner said I could have all the bits from the cooked meats that are left over...yummy. Well hope you like my essay on ........First day at Work. Do I get any gold stars...or will it be ....must try harder. lol pussx.
