Quitters Wheeze
5 Answers
I have finally quit my 20 a day cigarette habit after 15 years of trying, however, since giving up I have a terrible tightness in my chest and am very wheezy. A lot of people say this is normal....is it? If so, how long should I expect this to continue?

Been ok so far, starting to feel a bit wobbly but psychologically I'm doing ok, looking forward to getting a sweat on at the gym later. My mum reckons it took 6 months for her lungs to clean themselves out and for her to stop coughing after she stopped but obviously if you exercise you'll feel the benefits quicker and it shouldn't take as long to clean them. Good luck!
