Itunes and converters

Hello all, I have Itunes on my PC. The problem is, is that I can't delete music from 'My Music' or 'My recieved files' because it wont play them in Itunes? Does anyone know how I can resolve that problem? Also I have Real Player and I have music on there that I want to convert to MP3. How can I do this? Many thanks!
