Does anyone have any recollection of Green shield stamps? Were they the forerunner of Argos. Also wasnt the chairman of GSS the highest paid company executive in Britain at one time (1970's). Any info / links  on the history of the company and also how the principle of Green shield stamps worked as regards partnerships with retailers would be appreciated.
