I was probably alreaqdy in bed if the news broke over in the UK at 7pm. I probably would have watched it on the news, i remember Bobby Kennedy's alot clearer I was 12 or 13 then.

I was in the Central Hall in Chatham at what we used to call a "dance" . The whole place went quiet and we all went home Dances started fairly early in those days and I seem to remember it was about 7.30 .We had only just got there !

I was at home, I was 9, & I remember my mum stopping what she was doing & she came & sat down in shock....she must have been shocked, she didn't seem to sit down very often.

I was in a hospital bed, having had my first baby when one of the nurses gave us the news, my baby was 44 two days ago.

I was sitting with my mum at home, each of us sitting left and right of the fire,feet on the mantelpiece (getting scorch marks!) when I think it was Cliff Michelmore broke the news on TV.

You only got about 20 minutes of news from the USA, cos the Telstar satellite moved faster than the earth's rotation! After about 20 mins it disappeared over the horizon and you had to wait for it to reappear.

If it was a Friday night about 7pm I was probably snogging some lad behind my dads garage.
