No hurricanes, no tide(great for snorkelling etc) and warm Med seawater. You can visit the Troodos Mountains(yes, there IS snow on them at certain times of the year) and other attractions(your new bride will enjoy a trip to the shops in Nicosia) or you can go further afield and visit Egypt on either 1 day or 3 day excursions.
The weather is hot, nice breeze near the coasts, they drive on the left, use 3 pin plugs and you can drink the tap water(no need to buy flagons of water day after day).
Malaysia - Kualar Lumpur - border crossing by train is possible from Singapore as you may know. Langkawi - the isle of legends in Malaysia is recommended in in flight magazines. Haven't been there myself though!
Or Sri Lanka - has a lot to offer - ruined cities, beaches, wild life safaris and hill country of Nuwara Eliya (little England) all with with 5 star hotels.
