Classis mini woes.
Whats happening to my mini?
It overheats if I leave it ticking over
the in-car heaters or demisters dont work, yet I hear the motor running.
Anyone encountered these problems before?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.you either have no water in your radiator, the thermostat has jammed closed and is not letting water circulate, you have an airlock in the pipes or your waterpump is not circulating the water ...jammed or fanbelt broken...any one or a combination of the above....best gues is no water or thermostat faulty....j
vimes is right sounds most likely a lack of water, or faulty water pump
If the thermostat was jammed it would stop the water getting to the radiator but not to the heater matrix to heat inside the car, so not that.
If the fan belt was broken you would have a red warning light on the dash board to tell you the alternator wasn't charging.
