my skyplus box has started to switch to standby when not in use ,it still records everything even in this standby state ,is this a thing that sky has done recently as it never used to do this before ,it used to stay on all the time , i just wanted to know if this was a sky thing ,or if my box is on the way out ?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Sky+ digiboxes recently (within the last few months) received an update whereby if there is no user input for a 2 hour period after 11pm (and before 4am) they automatically switch to standby.
This behaviour can be changed via Services on your remote. Go to Sky+ Setup and turn off Auto Standby. Finish with 'Save New Settings'
