How many letters? Do you have any of them?
I've got amandsen but looking at it again, I can't think how I got that
It's Amundsen (Explorer) ... A + m(monsieur/Frenchman) + un (a Parisian) + ends <<>>
That should be amUndsen.

a m(monsieur) un (one or a in Paris) and anagram of ends.

We had Amundsen, could work out the ends = sden, just couldn't see where the Amun came in
