Joint bank account?

We have a joint account and always have done : )

Any money that comes into the house is put into a joint ' pot ' we have joint bank accounts and joint everything, sometimes mrpuss earns money also he has a private pension, sometimes I earn money I also have savings in a joint acccount, this is being married...we share everything..

Me and my hubby get paid into separate accounts, then have a joint account as well, which we pay the same amount into each month to cover all our bills, food etc.

Don't have a partner, but would probably do what Pinkitty does. Separate with a joint household account. I have seen too many people lose everything with only joint everything.

EngTeach well if you go into a relationship having to make an agreement over who has what and who earns what then I'm afraid it is doomed from the belinning.

I have a joint account with my hubby and we both trust each other. In fact my hubby does not like using bank cards and going to the bank, so I give him "pocket money" each month. It works out well.

We have always had a joint account, although we both have individual accounts that we pay a little bit of money into on a monthly basis so that we can buy each other presents at birthday or christmas without the other knowing exactly what it cost and where it was from before the gift is given. Fortunately we are both good with money, I think that is part of what makes us compatable.

We also knew that when we were engaged and saving for our wedding. I think that had we not both been good with money, we may have had a different set-up! - or may not have got married;0)
