anyone live or used to live in Reading? I'm thinking of applying to do a post graduate degree there and was wondering about what people thought of it as an area! Thanks!

As long as you don't wander in to Slough, it is not a bad place. Fairly non-descript really. It's just.................well just there, if that makes sense.

The Uni has a good reputation however, certainly in the high middle bracket.

There are better places to be if you want a social life and a more cosmopolitan feel, but there are a hell, and I stress a hell of a lot worse places.
