Log on failure

My new laptop will not allow me to log on to some websites. I enter log in details and press enter but the log in page just keeps re-appearing. I have adjusted security settings to medium and put site names on allowed cookies but still will not work. I have no difficulty accessing these websites from another computer and only have difficulty with a couple of sites eg Sky. Anyone with any suggestions please?

Thanks for that neildownx - I have now tried that but unfortunately without success. It is strange that I can access high security sites like my bank but not some shopping sites and most inconveniently, hotmail. Any alternative suggestions please?
