Mini tramolines with safety bar
3 Answers
Has anyone recently bought a mini trampoline or rebounder with a safety bar please? Or, has anyone used one minus a bar but simply held on to the back of a chair instead - is this successful? Am looking for a rebounder which my elderly mother could use - she used one at the hospital with a bar - but I can only find one on the internet which has a bar and just wonder how essential it is. Any ideas gratefully accepted.

I would've thought that a safety bar would've been vital. Using the back of a chair could be dangerous, as it could tip over, resulting in a nasty injury. Couldn't your mother use some other form of exercise - such as an exercise bike, maybe?
Normally the ones with the bars are designed for small children and have a weight limit on them. Is she seeing a physiotherapist? If so, she could ask them where she can get one with a stabiliser bar on it for herself.
If it came to having to use one without a bar, she could push a chair against a wall, then push the trampoline against the chair and hold on. That way the chair wont be able to tip over.
Try contacting a phsyiotherapist or doctor for advise first though.
