Baby due today....

mine and my wifes baby is due today. Such a weird feeling waiting for the inevitable to happen.

Have tried the curry myth, hot bath etc etc. Nothing working. Gues I will let nature takes its course.

I cant wait for the birth, I just hate waiting!

I finally gave birth at 42+3 (17 days past due date) with my first.

All worth the wait though.

The nurses has said that its a girl, but have also said that they cannot be 100% sure.

lol i remember feeling that way. everything set for the new arrival, feeling uncomfortable and just wanting to get on with giving birth.

I bet she's sick of the calls asking if shes had the baby yet!

Good luck with everything. I was in labour for 25 hours with my first. It was the most exhausting feeling in the world, but worth every minute.

I never take any notice of due dates ~ it leads to all this waiting and tension!

As a fella, I know exactly what you mean and ours isn't due till April!!
went to see Consultant on Tuesday dure to Wife's high BP and I heard the heartbeat for the first time.

There's nothing like it.

Pippa, Im with you on due dates. After 17 days waiting, especially as had been contracting for 4 weeks i refuse to take note of next ones date. In fact i cant remember when it is. Im just gonna prepare for an arrival in March / April / May next year lol

Whenever anyone asked me when I was due I would always reply 'sometime in April' or if I knew it was due at the end of the month I would say it was the following month...lol.

I made sure I kept telling myself the same thing, too.

see if yor wife will jump up and down on the bed or....you know what they say about sex....
the first is a monkey. i was in labour for 38hrs or so then had a few stiches but nothing compares to the feeling of how you feel once babys born.

Spaced, I was exactly the same waiting and waiting. I asked to be induced which I didn't really want as I wanted a home birth but the doctor swept my membranes and I had my baby 2 days later. I would recommend that if your wife is fed up with waiting as believe me and the others on this link will back me up. I tried everything to get the baby out on time. I was in agony!!!
