We have been renovating our house and we had a sime condenser boiler fitted with whole new heating system. When we went to switch it on the bolier (it needed switching off for other work), we can't seem to get it to work. There is no pilot light. We tried contacting company who fitted it to no avail. Any one got any ideas of how to start system?

Hi Yorkshirepud,
First of all make sure the gas, Water and electric are all switched on to the boiler The Gas and water valves are under the boiler and the electric should be next to it and the pressure guage reads around 1 Bar. Then turn the control kn0b to the snowflake picture not the sun picture, Set the Hot water kn0b the one with the picture of a tap on it to number 3, 4 or 5 depending how hot you want it. Turn the Heating one ( pic of a radiator on it) to max. Now make sure the programmer or timer is on and set to the correct time and is wanting to turn the heating on, then make sure the wall room thermostat is turned up to about 20 degree so it is calling for heat and the boiler should come on.
