OK, so the song on the new GHD advert sounds suspiciously like it was written by everybody's favourite french-multi-instrumentalist-film-soundtrack-composer, mr yann tiersen...
Can anyone confirm for me that it is indeed him or is it the case that GHD are just blatantly ripping him off to avoid paying any royalties...

Correct! It is La Valse d'Am�lie (Version Orchestre). Sorry about the possible dodgy spelling, am not partcularly good with French.
