Choosing options for 6th form

I am hoping to go into dentistry. Might change my mind again though. But I definitely want to do some sort of Health Care.


I'm going to do Biology, and Chemistry

Is there anything else I really need? I was thinking about Psychology or Sociology, just because I'm interested in it. Any ideas?

I did my degree in Business Administration as you learn a bit of everthing so you get a decent grounding in a lot of things

I think Psychology or Sociology would be an excellent choice for a Health Care profession.

I did A'level Psychology 6 years ago, and now having completed my degree and in a good job, Psychology A'level gives you an excellent knowledge of researching, analysing, evaluating, report writing.... skills that will help you at university, help you when you are looking for a job, and help you when you start working...

Then you also have the academic knowledge of Psychology 'the mind - why people do certain things' or

Sociology (study of society) 'patterns of social relationships, social action, and culture'...

I think they are both good choices. When choosing my A'level i went one step further and looked at UCAS to see what qualifications/subjects university's required for my desired degree choice... have a look at that as well.

Go with that you are interested in!! It pays off - you don't want to study for something you have no interest in, if your passionate about Sociology/Psychology go for it - you'll likely to get better grades, if you interested the subject as you will WANT to learn about it...
