Is anybody aware of a software package that will allow you do the following. Every day I have about 30-40 junk emails, always from the same people. What I was wondering is, is there a package that will allow me to send multiple, say 50 copies, of the same email to a list of email addresses, so that I can get my own back on the spammers until they remove me from their list

No point in that, as the spam emails probably haven't come from the address they say they have,

Spammers will rarely use their genuine addresses.
A very bad idea. Emailing them tells them that the address is real, so you'll get even more spam. Also the addresses that the spam is supposedly from won't really be the spammers' addresses.

Don't reply to the spam, and ideally don't even open it.

What email system do you use? I'd recommand you do one of two things:

If you use Outlook Express, change to using Thunderbird (free download). It's the same kind of email client, but also has a great spam filter that learns what is and isn't spam. Ends up that you'll still get spam (you always will), but it stops being in your inbox with your good mail.

Or, use gmail. Google's free email service has about the best spam system going.

Thanks for the advice
you could install the free version of Mailwasher, this gives you a delete and bounce facility so at least they don't get to your in-box,and theoretically the spammers should see your address as not a valid one
