translation please

Can someone please tell me how to say the word "eternity" in Latin, or in any other language of that sort? e.g: Gaelic

Gaelic is not closely related to Latin, but it is distantly related to Latin in that they are both in the Indo-European family of languages.  This fact is of course irrelevant to the question, which did not specify any need for any particular language to be related to Latin or not.

 

P .S. but how do I use the fact that u umlaut is Alt0252 (whatever that is) in order to type a u with an umlaut on it?  In the old days (before the AB text-editing revolution) I would have written ü but that doesn't work any more.

Er... I tried that but it didn't work.  I've got a book which lists the &# number codes, but they don't work here any more either.
