was thinking of texting his best mate who he will be with and asking him to try everything in his power to stop him, but I know blokes mates he will tell and say dont say I said anything, and I dont want suprise spoilt

I would tell him that you had heard from a friend the xbox is going to be reduced 'masively' in price in the sales, and that is when (someone you know but he doesn't) is going to buy theirs.

Make out someone would be stupid to buy one now. Try not bring it up suddenly but talk about something else you have planed to buy in the sales together and slip it in the end, or say it when you see an advert for a sales on tv or in the paper and pretend it has reminded you!

thing is he is that stupid to buy one now, I;m more the one that looks for bargains, he doesnt care if he pays �20 for a dvd out a shop when he cvould have waited and got it cheaper online, If he wants it he buys it
