WHat can i do
my new flatmate Gordon will not let me have my bedroom light on after 10pm , he has alarmed the fridge so when i open it - a siren goes off , and he has insisted on placing a visitors signing in book in the hall

when i leave or come in i have to sign
he has his mate Gay Ernie round all hours of the nite making noise
WHERE DO I STAND
as i write this Gordon is making yet another dirty phone call on our shared phone

If it's your flat YOU make the rules or get rid of him.

Time for a very serious upfront discussion. If it's his flat, he can be as control-freakish as he likes. If it's your flat, you can make the rules. Either way though, if you have to live together it's only reasonable to have conditions which both of you can feel comfortable living with. If you're both sharing on an equal basis, looks like one of you will have to move out, as you're obviously totally incompatible.
