In the remake of the Dam Busters, they renamed Guy Gibbson's dog who originally was called N****r is there any difference?

burgalar is in a house and he keeps hearing a voice saying "jesus is watching you", he is trying to fill his sack but all he can hear is "jesus is watching you" finally he finds it is coming from under a sheet, when he lifts the sheet there is a parrot under there, the parrot says "jesus is watching you" the burgular says, "is your name jesus?" and the parot replies, "no its derek" to which the burgular replies "derek is a funny name for a parrot, isn't it?" and the parot replies, "well Jesus is a strange name for a rotweiller.
