problem in restart

alt+ctrl+del is not responding to restart my machince and i am manully shutdowning.For ever half an hour system is stucking and i have win 98

Try running ScanDisk. You will find it in; Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools.

It is pretty good at finding some problems and curing them. You should also try running a virus checker just in case you have downloaded a virus.

Good advice above. Have you also checked the Microsoft Update website for any software patches ? Seem to recall there were a few for this problem in Win98.
