Beware that the bad time will pass by eventually.Life is not static, you wont feel like this forever.Go to a counsellor or a doctor if you need to for some help and advice. When you gain a bit of emotional strength then get out there and take on the world!!!
Meant to start with be aware NOT beware!!My spelling has gone to the dogs today.Very sorry.
i dont know what age you are barb432.we all go through a time in life when we are unhappy, most of us have money problems at one time or another.family in fights etc.but try to be optimistic about the future and cheer up.your not alone, try to focus on what makes you happy.perhaps a little treat,go of to the cinema, read a nice cheery book.we are all special in this world !! and things do change they never stand still.there are always people in this world that are worse of than me and you,it just doesent seem that way sometimes.so come on cheer up things will get better, they just need a little helping hand sometimes.
Pray to God, because he tests everyone in different ways. Be strong and keep faith in him because if you turn to him, he will never let you down. People always let you down, but He doesn't. That's what I believe in. And it's put me where I am today.

Depression is a difficult one. The only way you can make things better is to identify the problems in your life and make changes for the better. Remember, sometimes you have to be a little selfish and put yourself first. You are the only one that can break the cycle, no-one can do that for you.

Before you can start to make changes you should try and talk to someone about your problems. Your doctor is one person to talk to, they can refer you to a counsellor who will listen to your problems and give advice. Don't go straight for medication unless your depression is really bad. Drugs will only mask the problem. Talking to a stranger, rather than a friend or relative, is often easier and allows you to say what really makes you mad. If you don't want to see a doctor or a counsellor then speak to a close friend, get things off your chest. Explaining your problems to someone else often makes it easier to work through in your own mind.

You're not alone barb432, even though it often seems like it. Take care and all the best for the future.

Speak to someone about it, barb432. Whether it be a friend, a family member, a complete stranger or a professional, you need to get whatever's bugging you and making your life a misery off your chest.
Start playing the blues and make a packet off it.

I have suffered depression on and off for a long time and  there have been some really bad times, but thankfully there are many more good days now. It takes time but you will feel better gradually.

Please go and talk to someone who can give you emotional and practical support. As others have said, your doctor is a good place to start. He/she could refer you on to therapy, there may also be a therapy group locally you could go to..

You say that money is tight...does this mean you have debts..Get in touch with those you own money too and ask for their help in reducing the payments. Most credit card companies and home shopping catalogues will negotiate a minimum payment, rather than have no payment at all, and then get rid of the cards etc...the longer you have them the more tempted you are to spend!  Also contact the Citizens Advice Bureau if you are in the UK...they often have 'help' leaflets and other information on many subjects.

Barb432 I really hope that you feel better soon and wish you well.

Good luck

goto a cancer hospital and look at the kids who are terminal. Then realise how lucky you reqlly are and get on with life.
Focus on what you do have, or throw yourself into something like a book, or a craft, hobby or group and soon enough you'll be so involved you'll wonder what you were down about! Personally I think about the bad times I've had before, and that then I thought I'd never get through and I did. Each time always feels worse than the last but you'll always pull through. Keep your chin up :) X
