One of my bitches is in season and has added an annoying feature to that. When I leave her she yells her head off, disturbing the neighbours. She has suddenly started this odd behaviour. At first I thought that she was complaining that she was not getting a ride in the car or taken out every time, and so she'd stop after a few minutes once she'd learned that her demand would not be met. Too easy: I realise now that the dog, her past mate, is kept at my other address in the village, and her complaint ,and her ambition, is rather more basic !!
bitches first come into seasons fron 6 months of age. they have two seasons a year, and if you are planning to get the bitch neutered then its best to do it once she has had her first season. the season lasts for 3 weeks. ist wk is when drops of blood is shown, 2nd week is when her vula ( vagina) starts to swell and in the 3rd wk her vulva will still be swollen ,less blood but she may want to escape to mate with a dog so make sure everywhere is secure. once the 3 wks are up then she will be back to her usual self. would be best to get her spayed after first season.
