Bird Flu
Is this the case the world has been waiting for?
If so not a very good time for us happening during the Winter period. Should we be banning all incoming flights from this region?

But when there is a deadly virus in humans in foreign countries no action is taken by the UK to ban the people carriers. Are we relying on hope that it will go away?
In the event of an epidemic in the UK just like the last war where secret bunkers were made for the upper hierarchy the common man will be left to fend for himself. There may be plenty of Tamiflu about but people need to be sustained for many months until it passes. You won't die of flu probably just of thirst and starvation.
According to practice no action will be taken by the government until a person has contacted and died from the illness. By then they would have passed the virus to many individuals and because it is unseen will take hold in a short space of time. We could avoid it though if we ceased contact with others, did not go to work and stocked up our freezers beforehand. But this would be regarded as a backward step and we will then curse the government for allowing the virus into the country in the first place. This story sounds familier!
