Replacing double glazing panel
We have a uvpc back door with two double glazed glass panels. I would like to replace the lower panel with wood so that we can fit a cat flap (I'm fed up of getting up to let the cat in and let him out!) Is this an easy thing to do please?

Any small double glazing firm would be happy to do this for you.

It would be more secure than replacing it with a wooden panel.

Hi Kathyn, Sorry for delay in answering
To get Flap in glass you will have to get a new TOUGHENED Glass unit with the hole cut in. This would cost about 50 plus cost of cat flap.
Easiest way is to get a white infill panel with cat flap cut in. However you must find out the thickness of the panel and/or glass. It will be either 20mm, 24mm or 28mm.
If you get a panel, although it is a bit more expensive, get one that is MDF re-inforced . It adds strength to the door and cannot be kicked in easily.
Any local double glazing company should be able to help Regards Al
