Travelling within eu with uk visa

I hold a uk student entry clearance, I am presently enrolled in a course in uk. Do I need a visa to travel to other eu countries?

It depends on where you are from and the country-specific laws for each place you want to visit but no, a student visa does NOT give you clearance for EU-wide travel, it simply allows you to remain in the UK for the duration stated on your Visa, which is an extended amount of time than you would normally be allocated.
