Yay fat burning chillies! More excuses to munch on Nandos!
I'm like you muchlovex! If I go for a curry I'm now eating vindaloos and make stirfries with up to 3 or 4 chillies I love spicy food more than anything! I hat bland food and in all honesty I've noticed a quicker weight loss since adding chillies to my food although I have been dieting as well.
Anyone got and fantastic recepies that are chillie based let me know!
...sorry for the slightly off beat chilli rant muchlovex
Praise the Chillie!

El mexicano no podra vivir sin el chilie roughly, means "The Mexican could not live without the chilie..." a Mexican proverb applicable to all of the various chilies consumed in that country. Fact is, after years of travel and near residency in that and other Latino countries, the natives ability to 'drink the water', and eat various foods that cause Montezuma's Revenge in us 'Norte Americanos' is attributed to the daily eating of chilies...
Chillies are good for you...

I have been eating very very hot foods for ' quite a long time '...
When you start, you do notice intestinal excitement to put it mildly, but you become accustomed to chilli after a while, indeed you may find that you become a touch constipated if you go chilli-free.
I am on Dorset Naga chillies now, claimed to be the hottest in the world by some margin.

I add a whole one chopped to every curry I cook now, and they give it a real zing.
I know exactly the reasons you want to go hotter and hotter, it is like an addiction, but you get an amazing endorphin rush from chilli.
In my cupboard I have at least 30 different types of chilli sauce. The only meal to which I do not add very hot chilli is bolognaise. For a real treat try hot tinned kippers smothered in Encona and loads of white pepper.
Is it bad for you ? Well I am still thriving.
Hope this helps.

Where where !!
Thai chillis are for wusses. Get hold of some Dorset Nagas. I've got 5 bags in the freezer. The strongest recommendation I can give them is that after years of hardened chilli eating, this is the only specimen which will keep me confined to the house (just in case) until early the next afternoon.

We don't eat meals in this house unless they have chilli s added!
In fact, food tastes bland without it. The only problem for me, is that I have reflux (albeit silent) which results in no pain but an over production of mucus in my throat, which coats my poor burning oesophagus for protection. It's worth it though for that great chilli taste!
