Does anybody out there really feel in the christmas spirit yet? Is there a certain time or anything specific you do every year to get you into the christmas spirit? Mine is when I wrap up all my pressies as I play real traditional christmas carols and drink mulled wine whilst doing it!!

hi ,

im not feeling at all chrismasy
no one at work has put up any decorations , i cant go on our christmas do and im feeling liek a miserable old goat !
nope, I don't like Christmas - bah humbug!
Don't feel particularly christmassy yet - it will probably be better once I put up the decorations and start wrapping pressies
Not even remotely -going to Spain a week on Sunday as my brother has just reminded me -I thought it was weeks away.

Just about finished the wrapping -just J's to do and then the cards -better get a move on -think I must be a hedgehog or an ostrich cos I swear it was weeks away.

Sooner its past the better -yip bah humbug- and the quicker New Year is upon us the better -just want his crappy year done and dusted.
Getting there - now the tree & dec's are up, it's made it more Christmassy.

Just wish it would snow!!!!
this friday will do it for me as i stop working until the new year and me and my wife & kid all go enjoy xmas with the rest of our family back home in Yorkshire.
Not at all - unless you count panic as part of the christmas spirit. I haven't bought about 90% of the presents I need to get, have no idea what to get anyway, haven't thought about food or who's coming when.... I HAVE written my cards, but haven't got a tree.
I never put up decorations, just a tree, as I hate the empty look of a place when you take the decs down. And I'm not a christian, so the whole thing is a bit hypocritical of me anyway.
I wish I could just hibernate through the entire christmas/new year period, but no-one will let you do that. I can't remember when christmas did not mean worrying about who was going to be upset because I didn't visit them. This year, it will be my parents (like last year!) and boy do I feel guilty about it.

By no means you dont have to be a christian to celebrate christmas!! Most of the christmas traditions are Pagan!! Its the christians that have stolen, oh sorry adopted these traditions!!
With the tree up and some wrapping done I feel a little more in the spirit. Keeping a chin up for the little one and having fun with the Christmas secrets over presents.
