I have watched it on and off over the years, and still find it as I did previously, a pantomime of self important bravado. Anyone who has any good business sense would avoid belittling themselves in front of the egotistical showmanship of the dragons.
Next series is already lined up, with a new dragon. I can't remeber his name, but he's the owner of Phones 4 U, and he'll be replaing James Caan.
I agree that it's repetitive, especially the voice over stuff. Whenever he says "Now remember, no notes can be taken in to the den", you know the next person will forget their pitch!! My husband now watch every week in anticipation of our favourite line "...and INFURIATED Peter Jones..."!!!!
John Caudwell? He sold it all off for 1.46bn last year, so he is probably wondering what to do with his spare time. Like all the other actors a stint of panto season should suit him well.
I'm perplexed that multi millionaire's haggle over giving 25,000 each to help some entrepreneur get off the ground. A lot of the time they're asking for a 50% stake in the company as well!
its the re-capping i find infuriating - ive noticed it in many programmes these days the amount of pointless going over rules/previous narration and previews of whats going to happen in ten minutes time! since i got sky plus i record nearly everything i watch and forward all that stuff - its amazing how short these programmes are now!!
