Savings account with monthly interest feature

I am trying to find a savings account which pays monthly interest and also have a good interest rate. I also need to be able to access my money by visiting my local branch (and not just the 'net) and instant access. I can't seem to find one (only ones that offer just Phone or Internet service). Any one know of any? Thank you in advance for your replies...

Your question is a bit of an oxymoron because 'good' rates of interest tend to be less associated with High Street branches (because the costs of running your account are higher) and with Instant Access requirement (because tying your money up for longer generally enables a better rate).
However if you use Money Supermarket, you should be able to find the best compromise that meets your requiremnt.
