Hello. Does anyone know what you should traditionally do if you do not take down your christmas decorations down by the 12th night? Thank you

I thought it was any time AFTER
I agree with Ric.ror.

It is more important to take the decorations down after 12th night. Never before..
Oh dear.

If you don't take them down ON 12th night you should leave them up all year.

This must be why my mother kept her christmas cards on display all year, as my birthday is a couple of days later and the decorations were always kept in place for that!
Traditionally, at least in Tudor times you should leave them up till next year to avoid bad luck.
That's what some of the scallies do round here anyway.. along with their England flags from the World Cup 2006, Euro 2004 etc
Hi, I take my tree and decorations down at any time particularly when I've had enough of looking at them and I have even taken them down as soon as the 27th December, just so that I can clean the house. Luck is what you make it Good or Bad - not based on silly traditions.
Pippa- me too! I was born on Jan 6th- 12th night, so we always kept the decorations up on my birthday and they came down the next day. That accounts for 37 years bad luck..
