Most Haunted

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Derek Acorah is a joke!? He so obviously researches the history of the locations they go to as he never gives any info they don't already know! I crack up when he is 'possessed' with the help of 'Sam'. Does anyone think he is genuine or talking outta his butt?

Yvette had a hard time keeping her face straight until he realised and decided he was "possessed" by Richard Turpin's mum.
WE have alkot of aquaintences in TV land due my gf being a ex production asst. One of them workled on Most Haunted and was convinced when a spon or fork got thrown across the room. I personally do not like the bloke and have come up with logical counter aguments against him. I thought it was funny though that when Evette said in a interview she wasnt sure about him, all of a sudden the ghosts turned on her thruough him!! I reckon that was just his revenge
I've never seen him before (TV or otherwise but just read on a website) but a few weeks ago I went with my aunite to see Colin Fry whom I do believe (NB I'm not asking you to slate Colin Fry or what I choose to believe!). Last year my aunt had gone to see Derek Acorah and said that he was rubbish and that she'd never go see him again and that she thought Colin Fry was the "real thing". So although that's probably not too relevent now I've written it I thought I'd post it anyway.
If you ask me, Derek Acorah is making a wad of money out of old rope. I agree that he had obviously researched the information before he visits the location - illustrated by the frequent incidents of getting rooms or objects mixed up in his "messages" and then passing it off weakly (in a weak pathetic voice like a little boy caught stealing sweets) as "energies getting crossed over". He only further humiliates himself when something actually happens and he's visibly shocked by it! Anyway, I love watching the show and tolerate Derek and his invisible friend "Sam" for the comedy value it is. I just wish they had someone genuine on hand (like Gordon Smith?) because Derek's type only give real psychics a bad name.
