I have created a spreadsheet, the spreadsheet constists of several line items, I want to be able to select a drop down list. This list would be material from different venders with pricing accordingly. How do I do this?

This is all assuming your spreadsheet is in Excel. Create your lists in different columns out side the normal viewing area of the sheet. Then verify data, click list and select the list you require from the ones you have just written. If you don't want errors popping up if you type in the sheet where a drop down list is situated, don't forget to uncheck the "show error" box when you verify your data. It's all pretty well explained in Excel help but if you're on someone else's spreadsheet this isn't obliged to work
