Why do boys not call? Opinions needed please!

Me and my friends were debating this weekend about "why boys don't call"..... now we were referring to:-

a. When they've asked for your number
b. When you've been out on one date
c. When you've been out on a few dates
d. and any other situation .... !

My answer (because I've read the book twice) is because 'He's just not that into you".....

My friends went through loads of other reasons.....

But boys, come on tell us.... why do you not call?
Ladies... what reasons have you been given previously?

Dont give him you're number... take his, and if he doesnt give it to you then you know he's not into you.
At least that way, youre not hanging around waiting for him to call!

It can also be the case when a guy has been in a relationship where he has been really nice and always called just to see how his gf is etc and finds that the reason the relationship broke down was because he was "overly affectionate"

things like this can then make a guy nervous about calling for fear he is being over-bearing

It's because he's stumbled into a more attractive offer. Believe me. I've just left somebody hanging myself. It's nothing to do with you or her, I mean I've not even kissed this bird that's hanging around for me, but she's expecting me to come down to her's this weekend and I'm not going to bother coz I kind of hooked up with this other lassie I've known slightly longer at the weekend there. Wasn't intentional but guys can't predict the future any more than women can.
