virtual memory and such like
3 Answers
me computer has little RAM/virtual memory whatever it is, so when i copy and paste loads of stuff it like stays in the virtual memory i'm guessing and slows everything down and even stops things from loading properly. I was just wondering if there's a way to like 'refresh' your virtual memory or something like that so i dont have to restart computer everytime. i'm running windows ME by the way. cheers.

With plenty of RAM you can have more programs open at the same time, and can cut 'n' paste large images etc without your computer keeling over. RAM is really cheap at the moment. Virtual Memory is really just a way of allocating space on your hard disc as substitute RAM, but is a bit slower.
