I donate to Cancer research, and a childrens hospice, I will buy homeless people a cup of tea and a sandwich, but never give them money. hope you are not too bad at the moment monty.take care, Ray
That's really nice of you Monty and I can say from experience that you're hamper will be much appreciated by any unfortunate souls that it goes to. I don't give any money to charity because I don't have any but I do give a lot of my time.
I donate a small amount to RSPCA, Green Peace, Cancer and RSPCC every month. We always give a 1 to those selling the Big Issue, but don't take a book.
I do feel at Christmas that i would like to do something special for someone, rather than a 'society' and was going to post for some advice of what I could do to bring someone some happiness.
Cat Protection League this year.
They helped me out when the feral cat at my work was ill this year. She is 18 years old and thriving since they stepped in.
I have just received a Christmas card from one of my friends and she's stuck a label on it saying "This is your card for this year, next year, and for every year from now on, because I'm not sending cards any more - I'm giving the money to charity in future."
I have bought a small gift for an old lady who struggles on a zimmer frame to town and back. She never gives up and always smiles (even when you know she is a bit down).
It is only a set of small talcs and it was the only present that I enjoyed buying this year, as it will mean so much to her and brighten up her Christmas. It beat all the jumpers etc for relatives that are either unworn or taken back after xmas!
Hi MONTCRIEFF
WE never close on any day of the year. We are at work 365 days a year between myself and my colleague.
So, we have a happy Kitty, even at Christmas and New year.
