Homer steals the tree and when they get it home ... Selma says " Why is there a birdhouse in it ".
This is not gospel mind you but my child (aged 27 !) is ace on the Simpsons !!!

Yes they all stand round admiring said tree and Selma says it ....Homer replies that it's an ornament !
My son says he will buy you a drink if he's wrong ! But he doesn't think he is !
