A week is long enough although everyone else I know loves it. the caves are well worth a visit, but avoid the coach tours if possible. There's not really enough to see on the trips in the time allocated so they drive you round the island. You soon realise that you've just passed the same village twice before. Mata Gorda is nice and quiet even though it's near the airport you don't seem to get much noise. the whole island is very clean but certainly not cheap. the weather should be lovely hope you enjoy.

If you are a golfer then playing at this course is a real experience. Dont let the lush green website pics fool you though, the island is volcanic and if you miss the fairaway its like you are playing on the moon!
