What can I do with the marzipan (about 150g/6oz) I have left over from doing my Christmas cake this morning?

I hate the stuff, so won't eat it myself, but is there anything I can do with it, apart from use it as polyfilla?

Hi BigMac,

There are loads of stuff you can do. Siply roll them into bitesized balls and arrange them on a plate for a sweet snack (you can decorate them with edible decorations if you like), or dip them in chocolate and leave to set. If using them for xmas day-freeze them then leave to defrost.

Bying marzipan sweets can be really expensive, so its good than you've got some left over-and its delicious!!
SizzleSquid beat me to it! Those little marzipan fancies are beautiful - and very easy to make. Chocolate and iced ones are the best, because you can sprinkle with 100's & 1000's, or decorate with all manner of things, including fruit. A few of us made some the other day actually, and turned them into miniature Christmas puddings, decorated snowballs, Santa heads and marzipan baskets full of chocolate raisins. Yum!
send it to me?

Thanks for those ideas - I'll go with the chocolate covered marzipan balls, I think. Just need to find someone who likes the bl**dy stuff, now.

Oh, and Jaberwocky, you get three stars for the sheer cheek of your reply!
Roll it up into little marble sized balls and throw them at passers-by from an upstairs window.

Well that's what I do....
Not a bad idea - or make your own blowpipe from a rolled up newspaper.
I have some tiles that need grouting so I'll take it.

I must agree BigMac, I loathe the stuff, yuck.
Forget jaberwocky....send it to me.....Tis the food of gods and i could eat it by the slab load
Make sure all the sticky stuff is washed off some glace cherries, then mould some of the marzipan round them to cover. Only for those who have a really sweet tooth.
