ethel and every one else that answered my post,Just to say thanks for the responses, Since I made the post I have contacted the local council about the matter as you mentioned earlier, this is Mansfield district council,( which if you don't already know is Nottinghamshire) They have confirmed it is illegal to obstruct a dropped kerb, and if problems arise to contact police, and they will move offender, wether actions are as good as words I don't know. but thank you all for your trouble....Pete.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,(this is a copy of their reply)
It is an offence under the Road Traffic Act to obstruct the access to a property where there is a vehicular crossing (dropped kerb). If you have problems accessing your drive, please contact the Police who should take action to move the vehicles on.
