cold sore?

hi i think i may have a cold sore in my left nostril, is this possible and could i have cought it from picking at my son's verruca? as i have never had any kind of cold sore ANYWHERE

i dont think you can get coldsores in your nose.

might just be a scab or dry skin?

I don't think it'll be connected - more of a coincidence. And don't think you can get cold sores in your nose.

Hi juhurst, you can definitely get cold sores in your nostrils. I have suffered for years with coldsores on my lips and nose. In fact i think they are worse in your nose as they need to dry up before they heal which is difficult in your nose as its usually wet!. I think a verruca is a fungal thing and coldsores are viral so probably not linked.

I would think, but not sure, that you can get herpes wherever there are mucous membranes involved. I am not trying to sound like a doctor coz I'm not.
